Got 2 new flowerhorns today...what did i get?

I think there is so many different types even of the same strain, 99% is guess work with these things lol!

I thought i got the sexign of the fish down to a tee....but im baffled by my new pearly one :P

Does anyone think the pearly one could be a kamfamalau?
 
i think because i never wanted to breed i just never learnt about sexing.

i just love flowerhorns, i think if i was to set up a tank again it would purely b for a FH....first anyway lol
so beautiful, gorgeous colours and patterns. their attitudes are brilliant and the way they behave towards u. my lil girly used to come straight up to the glass when u walked in the room and if u touched the glass she would move so her side was against like u were stroking her.
if i went away for a wknd she would go all pale and her eyes would lose their red, but as soon as i was back she would brighten straight back up again. miss her so much. by far one of the best fish i ever owned.

she was amazing, like a dog....come to think of it, i never wanted a dog while i had fish, maybe thats why.
iv been lucky with pets actually, my rabbit used to answer to its name, the fish pretty much did the same, so does my lizard and the snakes do pretty well considering their deaf lol

I doubt that it's a kamfamalau. I see a lot of ZZ in it, and it could be a mix with a malau or kamfa. But definitely not a kamfamalau IMO.
 
The first one is either a regular zz, or a zzmalau. The second one is some kind of fader but it's not a rose queen. Probably more like a jin kang. That tank is madness wether you say they get along or not I don't believe you. A severum and africans mixed in there is just bad news. I guarantee all of those fish will not last. You are better off with 0 flowerhorns if you'd like the keep the rest of your fish.
 
a 10x3x3 with a 5x2x2 sump, equating to around 3000 gallon hole in the wall tank is more than adequate., the tank is separated up for this..

Yellow labs are soft, if anything Severums are far more boisterous.

Please think before posting off topic stuff like that because it causes riots, i never asked you your opinion on my grow out tank (that has been running for months and months) so please keep your grouchy responses to yourself.

I'm a 10 year fish keeper, i'm no crazy novice, do you own a tank that big? because i'm 6ft,4 and 16 stone and i can pretty much swim in the damn thing....what are you keeping all of you Amphilophus and Flowerhorns in?
