Got a fluval 404 what to put in the baskets?

I have two 404s. I just have the media they came with in them, although I don't use the carbon. Biomax and the sponges. Filter floss will most likely get clogged ridiculously quickly. The prefilter rings will work fine in the bottom tray though, and you can fill the rest up with biomedia.

I use Ceramic rings in two bottom baskets Fluval Peat in the third and carbon in the top basket

Whats fluval peat?? And does the filter floss really clog that quickly? I used to run it on my 304 and it was fine for months and that was the only filter on the tank besides an under gravel.
