Got a food question for trophs

I always fed mine veggie flakes and pellets, and my troph was 9 years old- i just gave him away yesterday actually. Mean little guy.

But he ate pretty much anything.
 
Very awesome read rd thank you. What kind of nls did you feed? I am going to mix some of my cichlid formula with my dainichi to get started on the weening.
 
Grow formula for fry, 1mm Cichlid formula for semi adults & adults.

I think this thread is about the best possible food. I think it would be a mistake to imply a fish is getting the same nutrition from some other brand of veggie flake and pellets as it would on NLS.

I'm going to say 1mm Cichlid formula, I think RD would agree.
 
LOL way ahead of you. Even with large specimens I wouldn't go beyond a 2mm pellet for trophs.
 
Nls is the best that is all you will need. I feed my expensive plecos zebra and some more herbivorous plec NLS exclusively for the last three years without an issue. Trophs will be fine just with the NLS. Check out nls website on feeding trophs.
 
I just figured I would ask before I did it and lost $150 worth of trophs. Lol thanks all for the replys.
