What is it with numerous Genus names? I have read this soo many times.

Vieja is Paratheraps?

synspilus, not synspilum

These are the latest to be reassigned, tuyrense is ex cichlasoma, i think it used to be in Vieja.

The photo looks like a drab synspilus.

All you can do is give the fish a warm tank and varied diet, some veg is important and see how it goes.

Synspilus and it should get some color. If it does not hit up Ramsey, he has a mated pair and usuall alot of frys as well. would have bought it as well due to its shear size.

Just bought a 9,5" Vieja Synspilum and mine turns pale and loses colour when stressed.
But changes back very quickly!
