Got a new 225 acrylic tank, have some questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It does look milky to me… good news is they flooded the inside with 40 so the “seal” is actually inside there and not actually on the seam itself where its milky. They may have set that sheet initially and it moved a bit during construction. Its good its on the bottom which is fully supported so it cant actually move or receive any pressure. If it were on an upright seam i might b concerned but i wouldn’t worry as is. Worst case scenario u have pictures and its under warranty but again not much or any concern as is.

LOL. Pics to come soon. Hopefully not of a flooded basement

Nah, you're good...you'd be surprised at how 'water weight' will mash that sucker flat. Some of the seam marks look like sloppy seal work to me. Doesn't seem structural but looks like you have the details covered.

Thank you

Maybe worth getting a good magnet cleaner with buffing pads if hes a “repeat offender” lol… never used them myself but i think they work well for in tank/underwater use.

I'll look into it but I think he will continue to do this. Lol, he put a similar scratch on his previous tank 125g (glass), similar in depth but it was MUCH longer.
