  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well i 125 probley wont be a adult size tank but... And i agree with Bderick about the yoke sack

The 55g will be fine, it is just easier for feeding in a smaller tank. The freeze dried blood worms are best they willl float for a quite a while. Feed small portions 3-4 times daily, but be sure to remove uneaten food to keep water pristine. You can also add some tetras to consume any uneaten food that may sink towards the bottom of the tank.

I would do small frequent water changes, you will need to keep temperature and pH swings to a minumum. Also 80-82 degrees will boost its metabolism, helping with growth and fighting against disease.

For the rest of us here, please post pics.

i just got one the same kind of arro
at the same size
im feeding him realy small peices of anything he can eat
like shrimp and krill
ive tried pelets
but he hasnt realy been able to eat them
so ill wait until he gets bigger for that
mine dosent eat any sinking foods
Bderick67 is right about the tetras
but i use feeder guppies because some of them have cool colors and he can eat them when he gets hungary

i just bought a silver aro today thats even younger than yours lol Mine still has the egg sack, i'll show u after i take sum pics. U should probably feed him brine shrimp, or freeze dried food.

The 55 is just a growout tank he has 125 gallon waiting for him.The arowana is a silver arowana. Also what should I feed the guy? I have frozen blood worms, frozen beef heart, sinking cichlid pellets, flakes, freeze dried bloodworms, and really small floating ciclid pellets..which out of those shold i feed him?
Everything except the beef heart and sinking cichlid pellets.Keep the water a clean as possible and bump the temp up 5 degrees. As Bderick said, it would be wise to add some tetras, say 6-8.

FYI, I have found that Hikari frozen bloodworms stay suspended for a while, but the other kinds that Petsmart has sink right away.

I am going to try to take some pics after I get my camera back..he started eating really healthy flakes and freeze dried bloodworms..should add any tank mates yet? i have a gold clown knife(7 1/2 inches) and a gold datnoid(baby 1 inch) waiting for that tank...also i already cleaned his tank and added stress coat. I am going to clean his tank the following week, Would it be okay to add stress coat at the full dose? or shold i half it?
