Try not to look for one specific thing, you need to look at all indicators and then you can make your decision.

In the case with your Dats, people are probably looking at a few things to determin they are indos. The tail markings, the fact that you cant find pulchers that small, split bars are common on indos and not with ST's, and the middle bars go strait down, ect.

Exactly. You have to judge them globally. I personally go with this order:
- Tail pattern
- Body stripe pattern
- Bodyshape
- Stability
- Price tag
