Got a new friend in my house

Bought this one yesterday for Php800, he was just about 1 inch & half. LFS said it was Kamalau X Zz RedShine, but i asked bro google about redshine he didn't given me one. Can you guys help me to ID this one...

what is really a redshine color?




Video is here, thats not a stress color, its was his true color even in the LFS tank before i bought it.

Yeah you right mate, he really hungry on that picture, its was taken 5 hours after i put him on the tank and i didn't feed him yet...

Yup it was a background, but he had two tank mate 1 pleco on his cubicle and 1 flowerhorn 5inch in the other side) soon i will transfer the big one to the other tank.

Nice addition. I have Never heard of redshine before. It was probably just a name the breeder gave the fish before he sold it to the store or the store made it up. To me it looks like a red dragon X kamalau. If you want to give it 1 name I'd say zz malau.

looking better already. I see something in his mouth in the one picture. Not sure if it was a feeder or a piece of krill or what but if you've been feeding him live feeders I recommend against it with flowerhorns. Feeder fish often carry sickness/diseases/parasites and aren't that nutritional for your flowerhorn. It doesn't take much to make a flowerhorn sick so just be careful. Remember the best diet is a varied diet. I suggest hikari, omega one, new life spectrum or kensfish.com pellets for flowerhorns.
