:WHOA: OMG, i don't know about it, i though live feeder fish is a good diet for my flowerhorn. since i started this hobby, i always feeding live feeder fish to my fh twice a week, because my lfs recommended it to me, and that one on his mouth is a feeder fish, its been called KATABA here in the philippines, sometimes i feeding tiny goldfish too... but since i know now the bad effect of it, i better stop doing it, thanks for telling me about that mybro, you helping me a lot for my fish... H]-[H & you mybro are my favorite Adviser here.

Actually feeders are ok if you quarantine them first in a separate tank..
Maybe just feed feeder fish as a treat once in a while.. & focus more on pellets, frozen bloodworms & shrimps.. :)

thank you mybro, but i rather not to do it again if its not giving to much good to my FH, because i feel sick when i see small fish fleeing from being eaten, i only did it before because my lfs told me its giving lot of protein and it will help to make my fh improve its humps. MyBro just let me know if the super worm is better than the fish feeder for treatment..

I doubt feeder fish can improve a fh nuchal hump.. The LFS will tell you anything to sell their things.. In fact, whether or not a fh will have a big/decent nuchal hump depends more on its genes.. But you could improve the fh's colour by feeding it food that contains astaxanthin such as market shrimps and krills..

Superworms definitely have better nutrients compared to feeder fish..
You can gutload the superworms with potatoes or carrots (make sure these come from a clean source free of pesticides) before feeding them to your fh.. You can even feed pellets to the superworms which is what I used to do (dampen the pellets with water before feeding for easy consuming)..

Superworms are about 19% protein and 16% fat.

Market shrimp is at about 20% protein and almost no fat.

I 100% believed in you mybro, thank you so much for the valuable details. everything is clear to me now, i will buy superworms later... thank you so much bro :)

Good job bro!But...But....Yuuuk:barf:I hate worms! They are ugly! How much did they cost you?Your FH are gonna love it!

If possible, try feeding the ones that have shed their skin.. You will know which cause they will be fully white..
Feed superworms that are lighter in colour.. Darker coloured sw means their shells are harder & this could lead to digestive problems.. wait till they shed then only feed (this is when they are really soft)..
You can feel the difference when you pinch them lightly.. :)
