Got a new little guy today!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for all the responses :) The fish has a slight "stump" from where its arm used to be, so I am guessing with time, it'll prolly heal. I do have him in 80* water slightly salted with Melafix right now. He was in the petstore for over a week with a missing fin, so I am hoping with proper attention and being able to get food he will live :)
I have always had a soft spot for gimpy fish...When I used to keep goldfish, I would always find one with a missing eye, fin...once I bought one who had a HUGE gaping wound in its side, put it in salt, higher temps, melafix and applied neosporin to it, and he lived for a long time, healed up beautifully :)

I did manage to get a couple shots of him last night, hopefully these ones show up here a bit clearer, the camera I have is ancient, and the fish tank is on one of my kitchen counters LOL next to the Betta's, and across from the 60 gal where my table used to be...and the 75gal is in the living room next to the counter with the 10 and the 5...*I live in a trailer, so there isn't much room LOL and tanks have to be strategically placed...*:) I'm trying to sell my 60 gal right now...Oh! that reminds me! I need to post some pics of the 75gal up here!!! Sorry for rambling...
Here is one that is good so far...I will try to get some more up in a bit, my lovey needs the computer...

Good luck, healing up the little guy. Took mine a month to grow her right fin back and though never looked like the other(her left fin is circle shaped and the right fin is oval shaped and smaller) it still grew almost all the way back, and is fully functional. :D

I can see its lil nub of an arm...after looking more closely, it almost looks like its deformed, cuz its a perfect circle. I would love to be able to get a pic of that...but yeah...not happening. I got 2 more pics of him, and these ones are very good :)

Cool cute little poly petsmart all ways seems to get a few tiny little senegals

i thought i saw some external gills to but nope not suppriseing senegals seem to lose theres very early

Very cool we get XXXS polys like this every now and then..so cute! As for the fin you might be surprised - my poor palmas buet got one of his pectorals ripped off all the way down to a bloody stump and to my amazement DID over several months grow it back, its not as large as the other but might still be growing!

Yeah my Uno looked like that and hers grew back. If there is already a little finnage there it should definitely grow in.

Although, nothing was left on Uno's but a stub...and said it would never grow back... it did!!
