Secondly, it also depends on luck, even for crosses involving the same species of cichlids - for some the chromosomes just happens to align better than others. Thirdly, it also depends on what exactly is involved in the cross - Green Texas or Texas or a hybrid of the two, + Midas, Red Devil, Midevil, Flowerhorn, Blood Parrot or whatever. Even if Texans and Green Texans are related, they are still different species and have a different genome, so would obviously work differently when it comes to a hybrid offspring. Same with Midas, Red Devils and Midevils, for example.
So really, it's hard to determine the chance for a SRT, or any other hybrid really, to be fertile, unless THAT specific cross was documented very carefully.
