outside of pictures which i've found aren't always accurate we can get like 4 sp of Cren's out of our rivers. different seasons give us different availability. like now we have.
Añashua red Crenichla sp.
Añashua green Crenichla sp.
on our import list. See how this can get confusing?
 
were working on a new list, still working out some bugs at the shop. sandiego would be about 40-50 for a big box.
 
Añashua red Crenichla sp. is probably Johanna...from the sound of it. And Añashua green Crenichla sp. is probably Cincta. Bummer......oh well...patience I have indeed! :D
 
I told Miguel that any time he sees any "Anashua" that is rare, to collect it. So ... come on fisherman!
 
as long as its not johanna or venezuela....or belly crawler...I'm good! I would love to go and collect my own pikes some day! Or just set up several tanks just for pike cichlids! One species per tank! That would be pimp! Are you hiring?! LOL
 
We are actually considering to bring a handfull of people down to peru each year to harvest fish. Just trying to get the cost down. Imagine: you fly down to lima peru getting there later in the afternoon where you eat dinner and socialize with world renougn fish keepers. Then the next morning you fly to iquito's where afterlanding you go to the river and there's the rickity canoe that will bring you down to the deep dark amazon basin. There you gather everything from pleco's to tetra and of coarse Pea; some cichlids. we would cost the fish to the US all you have to do is catch the things.
 
You have no idea how much i would love that! Probably wet myself in excitement!! :P...either that or have a hard time leaving. Have to drag me away! Wait, if i catch some rays I can keep them?! *suddenly feeling very greedy* ah hahaha! I would love to do that! :D
