Im jumping on the Oscar bandwagon with an exception thrown in. NOT a run of the mill Petsmart or Petco one but a nice Rapp's Bumblebee or Bahia red tail.

But don't most of the fish suggested like Oscars or Red Devils get around the same size as jags?
The only other thing to consider is do you want to wait a long time to grow out your own specimen or buy one full grown? That might limit what fish you will choose as I know when I stocked my 165 recently I didnt want to wait to grow fish out so I chose more "common" fish that my lfs had as trade ins but were full grown (I have a Oscar and jack Dempsey). In your area it might be easier to find certain kinds of fish at a large size then others. I also had bought a full grown red devil but it was far too jasty to keep with my other stock
