Well NO, I dont think she's regular Jack. I think she is Electric. When EBJs are stressed or thrown in bad conditions they look almost regular...like the one in the pic. But IDK about the female part yet, I mean it is very possible, but you should really make sure...depending on the price.

That's not an EBJD, but it's a nice JD.
Fins are shaped different on EBJD's.

that is a regular JD i have one which is dark like that one little more blue but when the mood hits you can see his strips on the forhead...
This is my regular JD his Color changes with mood and lighting/ substrate color previously before this pic he was blue all over like yours.
these are some EDJD I had only one survived but this is what it looks like now... sorry to say your is definitely not a EBJD...
I don't know about male/female or how to tell if Blue Gene Dempsey... but if you do have a blue gene you can breed it and get EBJDs if you get a true Electric Blue and breed with a Blue Gene you will have if i am correct 75% EBJD frye.
