Hello guys I just got back from a 5 day trip away from home and found.... one of my baby pbass dead, one pretty injured, and my green serevum had a white dot or something on his mouth... everything else was in perfect health.- here are some pics of the injured pbass, I'm thinking it was attacked but it may be an infection, I really don't know. (btw the injured pbass ate right when I got home)pbass.jpg

Water quality good when away? Clean water and salt 1 tsp per g. If not better in 24-48hrs then try some triple sulfa. Looks like lymph on the severum but photo not too clear.

ok, what about the pass? same thing?
yea the water quality should be fine, it was perfect when I left... and I had no auto feeder but only one of those tetra 14 day food supply blocks in the tank while I was away.

I can move the bass to a ten gallon quarantine since he is still so small, but i dont think I have 210 teaspoons of salt... is there an alternative?

Salt, not sugar.

So it seems like lymph isnt a rapid developing problem, is it ok just to leave it be or should I dose all the salt I have(it's probably around 140 teaspoons)

It can come on quickly but the photo is blurry. Other option is dosing some seachem paragaurd and watching the pbass for worsening. Keeping the water clean. Not treatment for lymphocystis. If the pbass is eating then can monitor.

ok so keep water clean and I'll pick up some paraguard tmrw, and I'll move the pbass to the ten gallon and perform daily water changes. What do you think happened to that pbass anyway?

Hard to tell.
