On the Rio Araguaia, I wish...
Here is a quick update, I will take some better pics over the next week but a few teasers to start with. The Mekong's are at the DWA not mine and sorry for the pic quality, I was testing my new camera and couldn't get the shutter speed right and the iso was all jacked up so it is super grainy on the Mekong pictures but there were about 300 of those little guys up there in quarantine.

The Piraiba(filamentosum) is about 3-4" and doing great, I also picked up a Goslinea Platynema and its about 7" and both are feeding well already. Earlier in the week I got a baby RTCxTSN 2" and a Juruense 3-4" that are growing out with the piraiba. Enjoy!~Trent

Both awesome catfish... and can't believe they have 300 mekong's...

Very nice! How's the Goslinea Platynema, is it active or just staying in the current all the time?

Trent, beautiful piraiba aka filamentosum!!! Who owns those Mekongs, please explain what DWA is.

I think DWA means Dallas World Aquarium.

BTW, Great catfish.

What is Dallas World Aquarium going to do with 300 mekongs? What size display tank do they have for them??? That is awesome to see some place in the US having mekongs.......by the way, how do they know its Mekongs (pangasius gigas) instead of iridescent sharks (pangasius hypothalmus)?

Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing!
