My previous set up included 2 rinky dink HOB filters and I ditched them and purchased an FX5. Now, there are no bubbles being created, therefore no oxygen in the water... now most people would just maybe go get an air stone, but my sbstate is sand. Now what're some options I can do to put oxygen in the water? I suppose I could just lay an airstone on top of the sand, but that looks tacky :P. So what can I doooooooooo?
Thanks guys! & I strongly recommend an FX5!

So like my fx5 output puts minor waves in the water, not really waves but move the water a little.. so that's good?

Yes that is all your fish need. When i had an fx5, one of the nozzles was pointed toward the surface slightly and that was enough to cause some agitation.

I point all four of my water outputs UP towards the waterline, you should be ok...

You could also throw a powerhead or Koralia into the back corner just under the surface and create some more agitation. Most powerheads now have options to suck air down a tube and mix it into the tank.

Bubbles don't add oxygen, they break surface tension and allow gases to escape.

you might wanna still run airstone, wat if your fx5 fails? then what?
