The mirror idea can sometimes be pretty successful.
Flowers are alot harder to breed than most people would imagine. The main thing your looking at is patience, Obviously the female is ready but the male still needs more time. To prep him you can give him some high protein foods, like live worms and massivoire. Keep in mind it takes longer for a fader to reach sexual maturity than a ZZ. A slight drop/bump in temperature can help too.
Alot of people will label a fish as infertile or unable to breed, just because they dont have the patience. Cichlids have to learn to be parents, its not always as easy for some. Patience is key.
If you see him do his thing over the eggs 3-4 times and still no fertile eggs, then you know hes sterile. Until then, Just fatten him up and keep trying.

I always think flowerhorn is very easy to breed as long as as they are well mature. They are made by human and should be adapted to tank environment as they never get a chance to get outside nature. more patience should be given...really was the truth.
Then more question has appeared
1>For example, a man with too fat body may really affect his sex ability. I still heard some experts said some fh are not fertile because they are too fat...should i go on to fatten him or just make him thin but well balanced nutrition?
2>what kind of live worms is the best?i know some of worms contain harmfull bacterial which may destroy the digestive system and lead to the abdominal dropsy

How can i understand they probably were ment for each other?

i also think the male was impatient while the famale swam around the dish and cleaned it. Although the famle has dropped the tube, but not ready to lay eggs immediately.Then the male lead the attack...
The female once laid eggs about five month ago without the male FH, she's 2 years old and well feeded with my homemade pellet.
I will keep updated

i mean the could just not like each other(not compatible breeding partners)
