well,

i was doing my everyday thing haha and talking to my good lfs owner.

we were talking about monster fishes and we came upon the topic of snakeheads.

i told him, "well cant a pair of channas 'slip' into an order of guppies?"
he laughed and was like oh no oh no.

and i kept on talking to him.

little did i know there was a F&G agent next to me looking for some kind of darter that came in from a shipment in florida.

i really dont want to go all into it. but I was interegated by this dude and was wondering if he could have a current list of all my fish and their places of orgin and stuff like that

so a warning to everyone, fish and game people do not like mischievious kids lol

Yeah they seem to be everyone where at once... When I took a bite from a venomous snake TX&P showed up at my house 2 days later wanting recipts for everything and inspecting everything. Making sure I didn't have anything protected in the state of Tx. He took one look at my tank and about lost it when he thought he had me for a Red belly piranha but it was only a red belly pacu. Oh well learned my leason there watch what you say where you say it never know who is listening to you....

When I was working in my LFS there, the warrden came into the store and tried to say that bichers were snakeheads they had to pull out the books and prove that a bicher is a bicher not a channa. Apperntly few months earlier there was a box of channa made it through to the store and they didnt comfinscate the fish at the airport, but the fish ended up "DOA" at the store. I just don't know how people can work for fish and game but don't know what fish are actually on the list look like. frig.

Well honestly I don't understand if America is free and we live in the land of the free and we pay taxes why do they have to tell us what we can and can't own... I understand endangered and cities but come on I can't own something cause the state doesn't want me to... Doesn't sound to free to me

It's very true Fish and Wildlife monitor these boards like crazy. The reason they do is they know people will open there mouth and say the wrong thing at the right time. Thats why I'm trying to get permits to own the cool stuff here but unless you are AZA certified it's a round and round game here in Texas
