Hi guys. You can now add me to the 'Kelberi club'. I just picked up 4 kelberi from a UK LFS. The guy who runs the place is really good. He had seen the demand for them on this forum and had them imported from Minas Gerais, Brazil. I was amazed by the number of rare fish he had there.
I'll get some pics up as soon as I sort out a camera. They are 5" and are going in a 170g with a 5" orino and a 5"mono and 5 silver dollars.

So if any UK members want Kelberi get your ass down to Pier Aquatics in Wigan. There are about 10-15 left and he also had a bunch of 2" temensis.

I hate you I hate you I hate you!!!! Just kidding bruh! Congrats! Can't wait to see the pics.

Well... Pics already :) Welcome to the spotted Mono club :D Oh do I sound jealous???? :D If you have proof I am :D

They aren't actually in my tank yet. I'm doing a water change and then I'm going to syphon some water into their box through an air tube. Got 9 cichla now and I only paid £100 for the four kelberi.

CONGRATS! can't wait for the pix

Sorry I am happy for you....:D But that seems really cheap :) And especially to be shipped overseas....

Haha are you doubting that these are Kelberi. I had doubts myself but when I saw them in the shop I was 100% certain that they aren't mono or occel. I've raised 3 monos from 2" to 8" and they are not the same. Their shape is different and they have very clear dots all over their dorsal and caudal fins. Also more of a gold colour.
I'm pretty sure he ships over a lot of fish. These weren't the only fish on his order and he said he would only make the order if the kelberi were on it. Seriously the shop was full of rare fish and loads of wild caught stuff, I was very impressed.
