And Bruce's haven't been proven either have they??:D

No these are from a different shop and were imported from a different location. I would say mine are a lot more reliable than his. Word has it on a UK forum that his were imported from a location where kelberi are not present but they could be wrong. Mine were imported as kelberi from Minas Gerais, Brazil where Kelberi are present, his weren't. As far as I'm concerned these are as reliable as everyone elses. Until we see dots on the anal fins were all not 100%.

Four is enough for me. I found a pic on the LFS website and I nicked a pic from your kelberi thread for comparison. Pic one is mine and I'm pretty sure I had that actual fish in the pic. He was the biggest one.

They look pretty darn simillar to me!! I bet your excited to have them, especially 4 of them!! :D:headbang2

They are settling in now and I've put the light's on. Personally I think they look better than the other juvi's I've seen on here. They have very obvious spangles on their caudal and dorsal fins, more so on the slightly larger ones. Four kelberi, one orino and a mono growing out in a 170, I'm sure you all can imagine how excited I am. Will get pics for you tomorrow night. Next challenge, feeding them. They were eating live and earthworms. Hopefully they will copy the other two and eat bloodworm and shrimp pieces.

Awesome!! Anal fin and Pectoral fins is the place I would want to see spangles ;) All my Monos had very very obvious spangles on the Caudal and Dorsal ;)

Very nice looking :)

They do show a trait of Kelberi that I have only seen on Kelberi. The spangling on the rear dorsal are lined up almost perfectly in an arch. On some of them I have seen 2 arches of spangles. But on almost all of the juv. Kelberi pics that guys have posted, this is the case. Most other cichla do have spangles on their rear dorsal, but they are usually random all over, not lined up in almost perfect rows.

very nice, cant wait to see them settled in
