The answer is, sometimes. A male of the same species would be your best option, see if the lfs can get more. Your other option would be to find another pike of similar adult size but different markings, sveni comes to mind but of course there are many other choices. . Hopefully the other 2 will produce for you. I read recently that it is a good Idea to have some dithers in the tank with the pikes when they are spawning or they will turn their aggression on each other.
