i found the tank for sale on craigslist and made the stand for it.
the bowed glass dose distort the fish but you get use to it.
the filter set up is just 2 water filters from grainger. in the larger one i have aqua ultravoilet bio media the same stuff i have in my pond. in the smaller filter i have a 25 micon filter. i just take it out ones a week ,hose it off, bleech it, rinse it and put it back in. the replacement filter are only $10. i works like a magnem 350 just bigger. and for the pump i have a waterway tiny might. it is 1/16hp and runs on .8 amps. thats less than a 120v light. but it pumps 1180 gal an hour.
i have a redtail cat and 2 stingrays in the tank now. i would realy love to get a super red arowana for it. but i havnt had any luck.
