Looks like they're about the size of the mediumish ones I had in my tank Sean - Joe didn't have any real small ones left when I was over there picking up the rest.

Congratulations, on your new fish, personaly those are my favorite cichlids, the only problem is that you need to take care in they aggresive behavior and their sensitive stomach, try to give lots of veggie food, theres goes a photo of one of mines.

ALL OTHER FISH ARE OUT AS OF NOW! The biggest one is only barely hitting two inches the others are maybe an inch and a half. They aren't showing ANY aggression to each other at all at this time. I have two 50's that just need heaters and they could go in each tank. I have this covered guys I have kept Beani in the past. I know all about them.

Cross, I'm noticing slight chasing in my 3-4"ers but under that they could really care less...I think that pretty much applies to all cichlids, they definitely hate my finger though!

Yeah mine are half the size. So once they mature obviously there will be aggression problems I know understand that but until then there should be no problem keeping them together.

Hey GL with yours. I hope everything works out for you and hopefully the male will get going with the two females. Mine aren't aggro to me at all lol. They are aggressive feeders though! Wham hit food like no tomorrow!

Ron, the fish with the torn tail was that way. Maybe one of the ones that was packed 2/bag? Needed to double pack, to fit entire catch from Mexico to L.A. As I mentioned in another thread, i have 13 beani left, from 2"-5" with 8 Motaguenses and 6 A. nourisati, for 2 weeks now, all in a 110 gallon tank, and no serious problems.

Sorry man. Just been a bit busy with work, family and...BEANI!! You want some huh? I am planning another trip to the "La Laguna Iguanera", a lake full of Beani! Seems you can throw a handful of fish food and all the 5" inchers rush the surface for food, so thats when we will cast the net. I plan on bringing back the 4-5" size range. I can go soon if you really are intersted in this size? Lemme know?
