I just got a couple of albino oscar from a trade. The *problem* is that one of the oscar is quite big. Around 20cm. Any tips on how to handle the fish:
for now i've managed to acclimate the fish in a bucket of water before dumping them in the tank. when i look at it, i just don't want to put my hand near that  any tips on tank maintenance?? Is the oscar really agressive??
And, any other things I should know for that fish size? I actually have a small tiger oscar too, can i put the three together?
Thanks ;)

Size of the tank? And if it's small enough to fit in its' mouth don't add it, especially with gluttons like Oscars.

That tanks rather small for an 8" Oscar. If your not planning to upgrade to a 75g or larger I wouldnt keep the Oscar.

yeah i'll upgrade soon
for the three :)
No prob for water change. But how will I scrub the glas? Can I put my hand in the tank??
Am really scared of that thing. lol. I'm used to small little tropical fish :)

don't fear an oscar, they're pussycats

Ummmm...
ok ok.. i'll take some courage :)
i've also covered up their tank.
Any other things i should know? What's the min size for three adults? It would be great if I had a pair in it :)

To clean the glass get one of those mag float Magnet cleaners. They come in different sizes for thickness of glass. One is inside the tank the other out.

Don't bother with plants, they'll dig em all out. Big rocks if you want something in it. I just kept gravel.

Great filtering system, as said above they're really messy. I changed the water in my tank every sunday. At least 50%. I love my O's, but it does get tiring.

I had two, a red albino and a red tiger. After the first year, the 90g I had them in didn't seem large enough. So for three, i'd go larger if you can.

I fed them mostly pellets - they have everything they need. Hikari gold is what I used. Every once in a while, the occaisonal lizard that would wander into my house or worms that would come up in my yard after a good rain.
