just letting you know that for some reason oscars are VERY messy eaters, whatever they eat, the spit some of the remains out of their gills and into your tank...so make sure your filtering a lot

yeah, i'll upgrade the tank soon.
As for filtration, i think that i'll do more regular water changes. twice a week.
