Got my first one yesterday!

yeah he seems like hes a little stressed he found his hiding spot he should be fine.

Sounds good. When he hides for half hours at a time his black stands out a little more but once he moves it back to faded. Although it could just be the contrast of hiding that makes him look more vibrant.
 
Its something we'll never figure out.the dat in my avatar was stable at the lfs and stays stable 24.7. My other 5 rarely stable up and are always so dark you can't even see the stripes. None are light in color though

My dat still looks the same as the pic on page 1. And I have been hearing mixed opinions on the stability issue. When their bars are deep black and defined, they are stable, right? On mine the color is kind of faded. Unstable, correct?
 
Update on his color. He has one bar in the back that's a bit darker than the rest of him, and the bar second from his head is starting to get darker spots on the edges. Could he stabling up? haha I dont get it.
 
I got one on indo on thursday, he was mostly black when he arrived due to stress from long journey, but with 3 days in and him claiming somewhere to hide his colors have came out great! There is also lots of room for it to swim also. Hes even not scared of my hand he took some prawn from me today which I was suprised at he must of settled in quick. By the way hes about 3-4 inch
