Ok just bought a 5" or so scombe , I did alot of research on it first and read that they are not easy to care for so i wanna ask the masters whats the best way to get these guys to thrive till he hits 12" and dies for no reason . I have him in a 180 with some severums a motoro and a ornate ornate being the largest. how do i make him happy

Happy to listen to all advice :D

Put it in a very warm (85) salty tank with docile tank mates. Need a no stress ich preventitive tank.

Mine kicked the bucket 5 inches early of the 12in rule.

congrats.

hmm, looks like a tat, maybe.

Looks like a tat to me as well.

Awesome , thats great news

If it is, they're a lot easier to care for. I would still follow the advice that applies to scombs. Tats are just more forgiving.

deff a tat.. sweet pick up!

no need to worry about him kicking the bucket early.

careful, i heard ornates like to pick on tats

I put him straight to the 180 , he didnt stress long and i dont wanna try to feed him till tommorrow but hes really skinny, should i take him out and put him in a 40 breeder growout ? all thats in there is a 5-6" jurenese oh and was 50 bucks a good price ?

thats a titty tingling fish
