So sorry for your loss :( any idea why you lost it ? I tried to live without a jardini for a while but as soon as I saw a reasonably prices juvi I was on it , the grow out tank was up and running and I had to get one :)

Not really sure how he died, he was perfectly fine that day but the day before I think he ate too much and choked on the whole partially digested small fish that he tried to throw up that I found in the tank after he passed, so I feel guilty as hell that I could've avoided it , Had him for 5 years.

You shouldn't feel guilty these things happen , I lost my six year old one due to disease I was devastated when I lost him so I know how you feel

Nice thread and even nicer Jardini, Evz. I joined MFK weeks back but haven't posted much. My tank is finally set (water cycling with a few parrots, LOL) and I'm looking for available Jardini as well. Reading your experiences is getting me excited to get one soon...

Thanks man :) look forward to you joining the jardini club ;) make sure you post pics of your beast when you get one , you'll never get bored of keeping them , if your anything like me you'll get hooked on them lol :D

Well my jars not doing the best got this bubble behind its eye don't know why and not getting better yet been doing 50% water changes every second day adding salt and started adding Epsom salt two days agoimage.jpg

That's rotten luck HQ hope it heals up Epsom should do the trick , drop eye is VERY rare in jardini and it doesn't look like a fatty deposit build up more like a blister waiting to burst, so my guess is its a bacterial infection possibly caused from snagging it on the bogwood or something in the tank ? (just my thoughts) , keep us posted on progress hope it clears up with the Epsom salt
