Btw he came in with a little damage to his mouth and very mild fin rot it looks like on his anal fin. I've got a ton of filtration and clean water. Would u use melifix or salt for this? I'm new to aros so a little experienced advice would help

Hi Bigme, do you mind sharing if you got your Jar from a LFS, or online? I hope that your treatment plan works out, I don't have experience that I can offer but I can probably learn from this one. Good Luck.

I totally understand that bigme. In fact I too was looking at petzone SD as they tend to have a few and my lfs don't have any Australians. I was actually thinking about going with them, but I wanted to wait until my water is cycled (although I do have some other smaller fish in at the moment). Also, I wanted to actually get the Jar when it was even a little smaller/younger...to "grow into" with the others. It'll probably have to be their next batch.

Its hard to say without pics the apps all over the place at the min , mines still running without topics have to go into the forum :banghead::( from what you've said I'd use melafix , plenty of oxygen and flow he'll be fine there fins heal up pretty quickly if its nothing major

Yeah I got it from pet zone online. Hated ordering an aro like that but lfs only gets silvers right now and I got bit by the bug and didn't wanna wait.
