Got my new jardini today

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He looks pretty healthy to me mate except his mouth but that'll heal up with melafix , the darker patches on the scales I put down to growth , if you look a little further back in the thread I had the same panic about the scales on my latest one , I couldn't remember if the jar I had before him did a similar thing as a juvi (as it was six year old and fully grown for years ) but mine cleared up fine after a growth spurt , mine still has darker scales now but has gotten wider with new layers of scales coming through , I'll get a few update shots of mine later

Yes once they hit mature age with the correct diet the spangles really start to pop my last jar had stunning colours , my current ones gone a bit washy at the min all the pink yellow and blue seems to have washed together there's no pronounced spangles on his fins but that'll change with time , raw prawns/shrimp (blue in colour ) get the colours popping with pellet as a main diet hikari carni sticks my preference

Ok. I've been feeding tilapia and night crawlers and some crickets for a treat so far. As he's new and young I haven't started pellet training yet and he still spits those.
