Got my new jardini today

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
With plenty of wc's (50% 3times week ) , big tank and good diet plenty of food I reckon you could get it to double in size in 3 months , they do slow down though seem to grow in spurts , as little stress as possible will also help the cause

hey danny, just forced me to do some proper research lol, red cresent on scales is jardini, red dot on scales is lei. their barbles are alot shorter than silvers and asian, love some of the colours they get, i was under the impression all jars were gold coloured like the one i had!

The red/pink difference is easy spotted once someone points it out , plus Lei's are much more slender looking especially around the head area , jardini do come in loads of different shades if silvers and golds though bro , my last one was a lot more silver than my latest (which made his spangles pop loads ) god I loved that fish :(lol

Bigger tank=happier fish! My original one is doing great Danny! But I have a smaller one on it's way... I'm not very good at saying no when someone shows me something I like. hahaha

Any pics of your jardini EVZ mines about 6 inches now he will be moving to a 6ft tank, hopefully i can house him with a datnoid unlike your jardini who is a beast;)

My upgrade tank was due yesterday but had delivery problems , so fingers crossed I can get it delivered and set up later today , ill post update pics once the tanks settled:)
Watch your aro with the dat dude my mates rtg hates dats too hes not quite as bad as the jar would be but he keeps them stressed out with intimidation, the dats are constantly black you can hardly see then against the black background , plus dats are very fragile when small and really slow growers :( hope yours plays nice and it works out keep us updated (pics too :) )

its alright bro the dat intimidated my jardini because the dat is much bigger than the jardini, the dat is around 6inches now. Iam worried about the jardini because he is not growing that fast and so far he is calm so hopefully he can be a community arowana:)
