90 to 120 gals would be great for a herd of 6 clowns (ask your mom for one  ). Keep the heat up to 82-83 degrees and a higher ph say 7.6 and ich should not be a problem. A softer substrate would let them dig around, too.

I was thinking of going with a 125 gallon but I wanted to stick about 6 Discus in there. Would six Discus and six Clown Loaches be fine for a 125 gallon?

The thing is, I know both would do great under higher temperatures such as 83-85F. The only thing is PH, as someone suggested higher PH for Clown Loaches but I was thinking of going a bit lower for Discus (about 6.5PH).

So yeah, any problems of mixing Dicus and Loaches? And would 125 be enough room for all of them?

In some cases you'll find the active and bright colored loaches will stress the discus. But then again, I've got a RTC in with my discus. :grinno: .Go with a 120g instead of a 125g. the 24" depth makes a huge difference.

mine always died
