Hi I too have a mated breeding pair of RDs. I never remove the fry from the parents until they get to be about an inch or so. The parents are overly protective, and will bite me if I let them. I can't keep any other fish in the tank with the pair or they will kill them. I would love to never have fry agian. It's to hard to get rid of them. I just don't have the heart to kill the parents. I wanted African cichlids and made the mistake of buying 6 RDs. I have them is a 46g bow front tank. They need a biger tank, but I can't bring my self to spend over 1000.00 bucks to house 3.00 dollar fish. So here I am stuck breeding RDs and I pray that the fry don't make it each time. P.S. They always do!
