Got My Six Cichla Orinos. Today!! Simply Bad Ass!!

So far right now things are kinda iffy. I think I am gonna loose one of them, since its not eating and not lookin to hot. Just sits on the bottom and constantly shows stress. I'm treating the tank for ich right now, and am gonna be addin some Melafix as well starting tonight...so hopefully that will perk them up. They aren't showin to great of colors right now cuz of the stress and stuff from the treatment....next time i do a water change I'll take pictures while the tank is still clear. Four of the six are eating great....one of them was eating great but recently stopped, and then that one thats always been stressed. So i dunno....hopefully I won't loose any....but I'm really skeptical that that one little guy is gonna make it...:(.
 
Do they have plants to hide in? That can make a big difference as far as Cichla go. I got my C. orinocensis from Rapps as well and I'm enjoying them. I've got mine on freeze-dried krill. I originally ordered 6 but 2 didn't make the trip. :( I had a young C. ocellaris that was stressing out in a tank with no plant cover...I transferred it to a very planted tank and it made a huge difference. They need security at that size.
 
No live plants or plastic in there. There is a big piece of drift wood though, and tons of Geos in there to make them feel more comfy. Gonna move the Geos out pretty soon though to a bigger tank to give the pbass more peace.

Just an update, I lost one of them last night....died and then got stuck to the filter.....was very bummed when I saw it. There is still one other one that isn't lookin so hot. Don't think its gonna make it...the other four though are livin large! LOL! I can already notice a difference in their size and bulkiness!
 
Aight, so as of late I have 4 pbass left. They are doing GREAT!! Eatin like crazy! I got them offa feeders about two weeks ago....since then they have been gorging themselves on mysis, brine, beef, and are starting to take cocktail shrimp. They mouth pellets a bit, but no success yet. I need to get some krill and get them eating that. They are bolder than i woulda imagined. Always right there at the top of the tank ready to snatch whatever i drop in the tank. As soon as they see me coming, instant eating mode...its classic. I can even get them to eat outa my fingers....silly little buggas confuse my fingertips for food sometimes...its funny now that they are small....but once they get bigger might be a bit painful...hehe.

Who is Rapps? Is he a seller on here? I need to find some little p-bass of my own.
