good looking tank! After all the problems it shure looks amazing. I hope your happy with it. I would have gotten some other fish for the tank though But with that background the rooms is pretty limited for bigger fish, for smaller fish it must be like paradise.

Nope, I first want to see how the plants do without CO2. Most of the plants are slow growers, so I hope they will also grow well without extra CO2. But I do adjust my pH and KH so there is always a certain amount of CO2 in the water. (you can calculate the amount of CO2 with your pH and KH)

Shame. But you will enjoy this tank very much so you probably don't want a other tank for a while ;) . I am trying to sell two Polypterus bichir lapradei for 4 months now and no-one (!!) has even showed interest. Except for some fish keepers from Germany, but they could pick them up and sending was to expensive.

So I know how hard it can be selling fish that aren't common in Holland.

One guy phoned me he wanted the fish, but he wanted to wait until his tank was cycled before he would pick them up. That's fine with me.
But then I didn't hear from him anymore, and when I called he told me that his aquarium broke. yeah right! :irked: He didn't even have the common desency to call me to say he changed his mind.
 
petit monstre - beautiful aquarium. I'd like a properly aquascaped planted tank like that one day, I have to say though I am amazed you're only keeping small fish in a tank like that :)
