This topic has always intrigued me. I go through phases watching a lot of shows and videos on this.

Any you MFK'ers interested in this, OR, have personal experiences? Do Tell...

I love hearing about the occult and such.

I've never had an experience...the story I'm about to tell didn't happen to me but to my sister.

So several years ago, she was cooking in the kitchen...boiling some eggs, I believe. She then went to sit at the kitchen table with her lap top. Had the music on full blast while surfing and totally distracted, she lost all track of time.
She didn't realize that all the water in the pot had evaporated and it had turned black and was starting to burn. I don't even know how she didn't smell the smoke and somehow the curtains, which was 4 feet away and on the other side of the stove had caught on fire.
At that moment, she heard a voice whisper/yelling "Ugly Boy!!!" right behind her. She thought it was me since that was my nickname for her. One time, she had cut her hair short and I told her she looked...well..like an ugly boy.
She calls me on my cellphone and asks me where I am and I tell her I'm at my husband's..then boyfriend's place. She proceeds to tell me to come home right now! I ask her what's going on and she refuses to answer and just tells me to get my as$ home. We get there 10 minutes later and she's sitting outside on the steps, waiting for us and begins to recount her tale.
To this day, we don't know who the voice belonged to as she was home alone and it certainly wasn't me. We like to think it was a friendly spirit warning her that she was about to set the whole dang house on fire.

Wasn't going to post, but since voices came up, (heey Souzie!;))
Once while staying at my grandma's house, I stayed in a bedroom that family members have said they hear voices in at night. Sure enough late that night, I heard what sounded like a conversation right outside the window. Grandma doesn't have neighbors, so I'm not sure what was going on. It wasn't scary but, that's what happened.

You know shadow people? Yeah, My wife, myself and mother in law have all seen shadow people in our hallway.
Im still unsure what I saw, but it seemed to agree with what theyve seen. I'll believe it when I SEE it.

So im in my sons room watching whatever with him, hes was only 9mo, so I was on my phone, and I swear I saw my mother in law pass the room, but out of the corner of my peripheral, so nothing distinguishing, but I knew my wife was outside. So I got up......nope, wasnt her, she was in the bathroom. But I for sure saw a dark person sized shape walk past.

Told my wife about it, and she says her and her mom have both seen it before and semi often. So either we're all crazy, or we have shadow people.

Personally, I'd love to SEE a ghost. a friendly ghost of course. then id believe 100%, right now im at the point of im sure spirits are out there, but until I see one with my own eyes, I tend to put off stories of ghosts.

I used to watch some ghost hunters or whatever it was called, but got to the point of, so im just watching people walk around talking out loud and see nothing. Nope, it didnt sound like that noise said hello until you suggested it said hello. Nope, that looks like a piece of dust. I gave up on it and any other shows for the fact that 95% of it all is most likely acting. The medium shows are a joke. Sure, theyre out there, but theyre not on TV exploiting their talents.

I don't believe in this jazz but I do have an unexplainable story.

One time sitting in my bedroom with my ex gf, we were joking about ghosts or something weird like that...and I said kind of loud it would be weird if someone knocked on the wall as we were talking about this. no sooner did I say that we hear something bang on the wall in my closet, and it wasn't just a bang it was the stereotypical "buh buhbumbuh BUH BUH" thing people do pretty often.

So my closet used to be a doorway outside from the room I turned into my bedroom and you can hear outside kind of well through there so I thought my dad had been outside checking electrical work, heard me say that and was messing around. I call my mom to ask what they are doing and she says they are out shopping

so me being the big ol' redneck I am grab my 12 gauge which is next to my bed and walk outside. It had snowed about 3 inches or so during the day so there was fresh powder in the yard, and absolutely no footprints by the wall were the knock came from. Now I'm freaking out thinking it came from upstairs or something instead...so I run back in and up the stairs like a member of seal team 6 ready to repaint my walls with whoever just knocked on my house....and theres nothing upstairs either...

I chalk this up to some super weird coincidence...and go back to the bedroom where my ex is now crying because shes worried someone is in fact trying to murder us....and no sooner do I get back in the room I hear "BAM BAM" on the same wall again, very distinct like a full grown man hitting the wall, not the almost comical sound from before ...needless to say we left for the day and went to the bar for 6 hours or so...to this day I've never had another experience like that one and I'm still in the same house.

There's a perfectly good explanation for that, SAS.

It's the doorway to hell.

I'd have preferred to shoot a demon in the face rather than deal with some invisible douchebag messing with my head.

Okay...I actually have one.

I may have felt the spirit of our dead cat. So we had two cats...one of which passed away last june at the age of 15. A couple of months after his death, I was cooking in the kitchen (why are all our experiences in the kitchen???) and I felt something rubbing against my leg. I looked down, thinking it was our other cat and began talking to him and guess what? There was nothing there.
