How do you confuse Barramundi and Datnioides?

Barramundi and dats have similar shapes of course when they're small. Barramundi even have a while line running up the nose. I guess they could be mistaken by someone, alot easier than thinking a mangrove jack is a dat, but sounds like they knew about it and knew dats sell for more than barramundi in the store.

Thats what I asked them "how did you confuse these?" .

I am just amazed that whoever is running the fishroom didnt catch it and that they dont seem to care! I caught it right out of the shipping box.

If I were you I would tell them to take them back, or your business with them is over. That is an unacceptable mistake.

the same way you confuse mangrove snapper and datnoids.

I'm not gonna post picks comparing but actually it's waaaaaay harder to mistake a mangrove jack for a dat.. Not that either look like a dat but at least barramundi is shaped like a dat. How do they mistake it? Either you don't care when you look at them or you haven't ever seen the fish you're dealing with..

I agree with Wurm that I wouldn't buy them or would return them if you did.. But fear they'll tell you the same thing TFD told Milkman..

Assuming you didn't sign a contract relieving them of all liability and assuming that U.S. law is anything like Canadian law, if they dont take those suckers back they could get themselves in a LOT of legal hot water. False advertising, misleading consumers and failure to provide the promised product are not, "oh well, better luck next time," situations. Especially considering you probably paid a good sum for those fish and it's not like everyone just has suitable homes lying around for livestock they don't want. Don't let this go down easy, please.

I agree. If you paid by credit card and didn't receive the merchandise you ordered, you lodge a complaint with the CC company and receive that portion of the transaction back on your card.
