I've been trying to get a hold of some for over 3 years, and I go to Petstock to trade in my pimodellus pictus, and lo and behold there in a tank on the wall are salmon tail catfish! More pics to some once they are acclimated.

I bet you felt like a kid in a candy store when you found them. I know I did. Wait I always do when I'm at the lfs.
Its hard to get a good pic of them they just won't stop swimming. My oscar was a bit wary and agro towards them at first, but seems to have calmed down once he realised they aren't a threat.

Yeah they are a schooling species. If they weren't I would have only grabbed one as they get quite large. Funnily enough I had one around 10" that I collected myself and he usually just sat in the same spot. Once I added a 7" green terror he constantly followed it around the tank, swimming by its side, as if he'd paired up with it. Anyone know what specific species is usually the one collected for the trade? I'm hoping one of the smaller species and not the 4ft+ species haha.
