they look like a mix between chuckawallas and collard lizards never seen anything like it before
Those lizards are amazing!!! How much do they cost in the US? and how easy on a scale of 1-10 are they to take care of?
I was to get a trio for $800, but they was a complication with one of the females, so I ended up with a 1.1 for $600. There is a breeder by the name of John Castellano in California who breeds them, and sells reverse trios 2.1 for $800. On how easier they are to keep, um... les just say from a scale of 1 to 10. 1 being the easiest, i would say they're a 6 or 7. I dont have them in a tank, since I decided to build an outdoor enclosure for these guys, I have them in this makeshift setup (two 56 qt tubs connected) (photos included.) its pretty basic.. but I plan to have them out by the end of the summer in a out door pen that is 5 X 5 for them (http://riobravoreptiles.com/howto_outdoor.htm). The female is showing breeding colors, so I hope to have babies later this year.
Oh I forgot to mention a really big baja is 15" inches or so, maybe even 17" but females tend to be half the size. So they're not huge lizards
