well right now i already have a 2k gallon pond and a 3k gallon pond, i am filling in the 2k and just enlarging the 3k. so im not really adding that much well yes i am but in her eyes im going from 2 down to 1 pond. plus she understands that the concrete will be much easier to maintain. dont have to worry about dogs popping it AGAIN. so it will be a win win situation (my yard is a little over 1/2 acre fenced in)

Will you be wintering the fish indoors, or will you be trying out heating, like one of those electric ThermaKoi ones?

i dont currently heat, i just use movement to keep it from freezing over. i will have a better set up when i do the new pond. i may if i can afford it get a natural gas fired pond heater and set it at 40 degrees so it never freezes and doesnt use squat for energy. if i set it at about 50 i can keep feeding heavier to get them to grow faster. but the set up that i want is $3k
