Just remember part of that cost is tax which is 10-15% in Canada. Plus rent, heating and employee salaries. That's why internet sales tend to be cheaper then in store. Though one LFS puts a 3.3X increase on fish coming in. What look like huge margins tends to dry up real fast.

Thats hardly anything compared to the margins. Hagen is suggesting 3x to there sellers, then the sellers can bump it up again if they wanted

You can't compare the profit margins in the computer industry to that of a hobby industry.

They have completely different expense structures and markets.

You can't compare computers with fish keeping. 1000 units is probably the total yearly sales for any pro 3 model in the northeast (if not the US). With computers 1000 units is more like weekly sales in Boston alone.
