and, computers are a hobby for some :) but thats not the point, I just knew intel had there prices up so it wouldn't look like i was fudging the numbers to disagree R1_Ridah
 
I feel dumb knowing they'll buy me stuff out of it, knowing that i've been going there weekly just to see what they have in stock lol...going to save me alot of time, while spending alot of money. LOL
 
Markup on livestock is horrendous. I bet better care of the fish would be taken if stores paid more for them, but they pay a few dollars for a fish and it just doesnt matter to them. People that really keep and care for fish honestly should not work for a fish store, it will torment you.
 
I had a look at one of the lfs' distributer catalogue for fish and on Uaru A. they buy them in for about £1.99 but they sell them for £15, EBJD are about £9 but they sell for £40. Those are just the ones that caught my eye.
While it does look bad I do understand the needs of a store and the associated costs of running one.
 
Last time I checked, LFS weren't exactly rolling in profits. Just the opposite actually.

I wonder what the cost of construction of a tank vs. wholesale price is. The cost of the sand to make the glass vs. the price that Hagen's glass supplier charges them.

It's all a grande conspiracy to rip of fishkeepers.

If you want cheap tanks, join a fish club. People constantly give them away or sell them really cheap...

Id like to point out, I'm not actually against the price that I pay for things.
(I don't have a big forge hidden in my basement, so any price they sell it to me lower then what it would cost me to make it.)

I'm just tank greedy :D:D:D:D
