Sorry if this is in the wrong place but i thought it would fit into the DIY catagory.I have a 55 gallon tank and i'm thinking of getting another 55 gallon.
I want to do a gothic theme in one and a dark carnival/Insane Clown Possee/cricus theme in the other.Any ideas on what to do for decorations.Would it be safe to put glass figurines in the tanks. The type that are highly over priced I have one of a dragon but the wings broke off could i put some rubber cealent on it and put it in the tank? And are plastic toys safe to put in like are they toxic to fish or anything?
And also a question on fish what fish would go good in the tanks.I was thinking in the gothic themed one all black fish. And for the carnival themed one brightly colored fish kinda clownfish like colors and a few solid black.I basically want to build the fish around the aquarium. Are there any solid black fish that won't out grow a 55 gallon tank. Also would the aquarium lights fade a poser I thought about putting a black light poster behind the tank as a back ground but they are to expensive for them to only last for awile befor fading.

WoW......Did you take you meds???

 But I think it's a good idea. It would be different and if it's what he likes, then do it. They've got black mollys, neons, guppys, black ghost knife... just check around, you'll find some. Good luck...:headbang2

with such a black tank and all black fish how will you even see the fish?

Could be pretty cool, the black ghost can get up near 20" so it may be cramped in a 55g. Glass decorations should be fine, but be careful on the type of cements to repair them, could be toxic to your fish.

a few razor blades in the substraight should give off the theme more :grinno:

now the fish can slit there fins

very cute and the only "meds" i take is for my failing kidneys so i don't die
no i'm not crazy i just like the gothic style
as far as the cement type i saw that clear epoxy tank sealing stuff in the pet department of Wal-Mart the type of stuff you use to seal tanks with if the crack
and when i said black fish i ment like that get medium size so mollies don't fit the bill
oh and not to be mean to Davey_8313 but i'm a GIRL geezee i'm a jugalette not a juggalo and anyone that thinks i'm crazy that's your oppinion
i'm a jugalette and i want my fish to reflect my life style i'm also a carny so i want my surrounding to reflect me.Anyone know where i can get a Farriss Whell that i could put in my tank and maybe a merry-go-round and maybe some clown figurines.
that's my idea for the circus tank anyway any ideas where i could aquire such things?

Davey_8313 thanks for atleast some incouragement many thanks
And what about gotjic decore is it safe to put a plastic Halloween skull in my tank?

oh hey and Davey_8313 just gave me a idea with his icon(nice pin head by the way) i saw a Hell Raiser puzzle box in a magizne it's made of plastic.I thought about putting it in my fish tank would it have to be weighted down.If so with what?Could the plastic hurt the fish I mean like the paint from it or is it safe to give them the puzzle box?
