Gothic/Dark Carnivale themed tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What about a faux rock background done in the old medieval cathedral motif. That would be cool. Add in moonlights in areas of contrast.

arrrrrggg!!!!!!!!!!!
all fish plans are haulted guys my blood parrot has ick!!!
plus i'll p;robly have to treat my angels and my other blood parrot
the blood parrots were in 1 tank with a divider 1 moved one to my 55 and other other to my angels old tank and upgraded the angels to the bp's old tank
now i've gotta get a heater none of my tanks except my baby molly's have a heater because my house stays warm usually mid 70's in the summers and 78-80 in the winter
i have problems keeping fish cool enough
but i read i have to up the temp to 89-90
this is great i'll probly be out the 100 bucks i just got wonderful
and i'm not sure the bp will survive it
plus i add salt to all my tanks anyway my luck the ick is ammune to the salt
cheese and crackers if i didn't have bad luck i'd have no luck at all

Crank your temp up to about 85*F and use a product called Aquari-Sol its kind of an old school medication but works VERY well on ich...and its usual price is 3bucks :) None of my fish are really cute or cuddly either....Im sitting between Piranhas, big Cichlids and some Venomous Butterfish, wouldnt have it any other way.

I have seen some very realistic aquarium ornamants that look skulls....Id probably get one of those some black sand, use a plant grow bulb(they usually have a purple cast) and get some plants like val or something simple just for an accent. A LFS I used to go to that shut down had a 90G piranha show tank like that. They had it setup with a very large cow skull(probably close to actual size of a cow skull) with very sparse plastic val plants and a purple casting bulb. I think they probably wraped the bulb so it was very very low lighting as well....beautiful tank, and a bit on the creepy side. :)

BTW-Im in Southwestern VA, if youve heard of The Appalachian School of Law...Im in the same town its located in (Grundy).

LMAO it's kinda cute to see a Goth girl using the term "Cheese and crackers"

Hope you get that ick all cleared up... I've never had it here and am as of yet unfamilar with how bad it gets, I've got some medication stuff that I bought from WallyWorld as a just in case but havn't had to use it as of yet...

My Tanks all run 74-78 ... 89-90 seems REALLY High to me ... is that normal?

High temps speed up the life cycle of the ick parasite and get it to the part where the parasitic cyst package(lack of better term) opens up and the ick parasite is free-swimming in the tank(the only stage at which it can be killed by medications). I wouldnt go as high as 88-90*F....but definatly 82-86*F is perfectly fine, and safe for a short period of time.

Hey... This is awesome. I was going to do my 125 as an East River Tank.

(All plastic toys of course)
Old cars

You forgot alligators!! XD

With Halloween just being over, all of the decor is marked down, so if I were anyone of you guys who want a dark and spooky tank, I'd get my happy behind down there and grab some of it before they put it in backstock till next year. I know as soon as I get my first paycheck, anything I have left over from my cellphone, I'm going down to pick up a bunch of stuff!!

I'm gothy/emo and I have ducks named Cheez an Crackers!! lol

But still, Good luck curing the ick, Carny!! I hope it goes well!

EDIT: I almost forgot this!! >< These are made for Aquarium use!!!
