Way too much for a fish that after several months will be barely distinguishable from a silver. I too love black arowanas. I too would love to have one. But back in the eighties when I worked for a wholesaler I could get them, albiet young, for not much more than a silver. But now, for them to be sooooo much money. I just can't see it. Maybe I'm cheap. No, its that I have a family and its just not a priority for me. I'd love to see pics of your fish. I envy you for having them. But I still say "its wildly over priced for the fish" Just my opinion.

Sorry for not posting pics last night. They started to eat some crickets and meal worms and I didn't want to startle them by taking pics.

So far soo good. They seem to be the best of pals at the moment. They are always swimming side by side.
I know that they are more pricey, but thats okay. I have a large silver and have had a jar before. I just thought I would try something a little different.
I always wanted a black but the lfs charge sooooooo much for them in Hawaii ($300.00)
All in all I am very happy with my purchase.
