Growing up in this hobby, I've always just kept a common to clean up only to learn they're not very good cleaners as the contribute more to waste than they clean up, and the size of a common isn't easily kept by the occasional hobbyist. But more recently I picked up my first rubber nose at about an inch for my 90 gallon, saw some baby bristles at my lfs, had to have one. Then about a week ago I found a 2" calico long finned pleco. There's so many plecos out there, and though I'm extremely interested in a zebra pleco, I'm not ready to shell out that kind of dough. The three I have are all in a 90 gallon mixed cichlid tank. Can I add more plecos, and if so what kind stays small, sells under $30, and is uncommon, rare, or just all together cool or ornate. I'm running excellent filtration for this size of a tank, two 50 gallon hang ons and a fluval fx5, so I'm not worried about the increased bio-load
