Do what I did start off with a golden nugget they stay relatively small and are gorgeous looking plecs.

They get bigger then you think. They just grow extremely slow.

Planet catfish says 14 but the biggest ive seen in person was about 10" and i only saw 1.

Ya the larger ones dont have very bright yellow but i think they look great. I have one now thats about 2.5". I dont think its grown in the 7-8 months ive had it.

Wow, I thought 6" was max.. mines only tiny and maybe grown 1/4 inch in 6 months
