i wouldnt really doubt if we the government were tracing people in one way or another. Does anybody know what East Germany was really known for. Their intelligence. They kept great intelligence on everybody in East Germany. Literally. They knew anything and everything about everybody because they were incredibly paranoid and thought everybody was against the government. A lot of our intelligence comes from things they developed too.
