i have the 1200gph version and so far so good and i cant hear it. i updgraded to a 220 gallon tank too and thinking about that exact pump.

It rated at 1584 GPH , used it on my 180.... I know on this forum tank turnover rate is a big issue.
Depending upon your stocking and feeding regiment this should work.. My stocking levels where insane..
